　　八年级英语常识点(一)

　　1、 What’s the matter?

　　What’s the matter?是用来问询对方出了什么缺点或问题，意为“怎么了”，是医师问询患者病况时的常用语。

　　— What’s the matter? 你怎么了?

　　— I have a stomachache. 我胃疼。

　　【拓宽】

　　What’s the matter后可接with sb.，What’s the matter with sb.?意为“或人怎么了?”也可用What’s wrong with sb.?或What’s your trouble?来表明。

　　What’s the matter with you? = What’s wrong with you?

　　= What’s the trouble with you? = What’s your trouble? 你怎么了?

　　留意：matter是名词，其前只能加定冠词the;wrong是描述词，前面不需要加任何冠词;trouble名词，前面可加定冠词the，也可加描述词性物主代词。不能说What’s your wrong?和What’s your matter?

　　2、 I think so.

　　I think so.用于必定对方提出的观点或观点，“我以为是这样的”，其间so是副词，替代前面的词、短语或某种状况，意为“这样，如此”。常用在believe信任、suppose想象、hope期望、think以为、say说、tell告知，以及实义动词do后，以防止重复。

　　— Do you think it will rain? 你以为会下雨吗?

　　— Yes, I think so. 是的，我以为是。

　　I think so.的否定方式有两种：I don’t think so.或I think not.

　　相似的词有believe、suppose、hope、be afraid等。

　　I believe so/not. 我信任如此/不会这样。

　　I hope so/not. 我期望如此/不会这样。

　　3、 It’s+adj.+for sb.+to do sth.

　　在这个结构中，it是方式主语，真实的主语是后边的不定式。

　　To learn English is not easy. = It’s not easy to learn English. 学英语不容易。

　　(1)It’s+adj.+for sb. to do sth. 结构中，描述词是表明做某事的“性质、特征”，这类描述词有：important、easy、difficult、hard、necessary等。

　　(2)It’s+adj.+of sb. to do sth. 结构中，描述词是表明人的“质量”，这类描述词有：kind、wise、clever、good、foolish等。

　　It’s kind of you to say so. 你这样说真是太仁慈了。

　　It’s necessary for you to do more exercise. 多练习对你来说是必要的。

　　4、 enjoy doing sth.

　　enjoy是及物动词，意为“享用…的趣味; 赏识;喜爱”。其用法如下：

　　sth. (名词或代词)

　　enjoy+ oneself(反身代词)=have a good time

　　doing sth. (只接v-ing方式，不接to do sth.)

　　I enjoy the songs sung by Jay Chou. 我喜爱周杰伦的歌。

　　We enjoyed ourselves at the party. 昨夜的集会，咱们玩得很快乐。

　　In my class, most of the students enjoy singing English songs.

　　在咱们班，大多数学生喜爱唱英语歌。

　　只能接v.-ing方式作宾语的动词：enjoy、finish、practice、mind等。

　　5、 be sorry to do sth.

　　be sorry to do sth.意为“对做某事感到遗憾、抱愧”。

　　I’m sorry to trouble you. 很抱愧打扰你。
